Nikkei Asian Review is recruiting an Asian banking and finance correspondent in Hong Kong (English Only)

The Nikkei Asian Review, a fast-growing publication reporting on Asian business and politics for a global audience, is looking for a banking and finance correspondent to be based in our expanding Hong Kong newsroom.

The successful candidate would lead coverage of notable banking and finance stories from Hong Kong, the Chinese mainland and beyond. Investments by China’s major tech companies and deals by Western venture capital and private equity firms will be of interest.

The correspondent would be expected to generate original story ideas and use a network of contacts to produce exclusive news and analysis. We are looking for a reporter with at least eight years of experience reporting business and financial news, preferably in Asia. A strong network of contacts in the finance industry is essential, as is the ability to explain a complex story in clear, vivid prose to a global audience.

Fluent English writing skills, a commitment to accuracy and a willingness to work collaboratively are essential. An ability to speak and read Chinese would be an advantage. Nikkei offers highly competitive remuneration.
