The 23rd Hong Kong Journalists Association Football Cup successfully completed today. The Oriental Press Group B Team defeated the team Chai Wah Wah by 3:2 and becomes the Champion of this year. The team Chai Wah Wah won the first runner-up. The Apple Daily Team won 9:3 over Cable TV News and won the second runner-up; the Cable TV News Team was the third runner-up.
Participants are happy to watch two friendly matches. Among them, the HKJA won 4:2 over the Government Information Service Department Team. The HKJA drew with the Clube de Jornalistas de Macau Team with 3:3.
Mr. FUNG Kwok Hong from the Apple Daily won the Best Soccer Prize by scoring a total of 11 goals in the Tournament. After all winners got prizes from Dr. Stanley Ho, Shun Tak Group Executive Chairman; Mr. Brian HT Leung, Chairman of the Hong Kong Football Association and Mrs. Betty Fung, Director of the Information Services, the 23rd JA Cup announced its completion this year.
