In the early morning of the 5th August, protestors blocked a section of Lung Cheung Road near Wong Tai Sin Centre. A new vehicle from TVB News was blocked and destroyed. According to news reports, the destruction of TVB news vehicle has also occurred in different occasions.

HKJA condemns such violent behavior and demands the relevant individuals to stop their violent action against journalists. HKJA believes that every front-line journalist is sincerely carrying out his/her duties of reporting and exercising the role of the fourth estate, which should not be infringed.
