Ta Kung Pao published an article on their page A14, titled as ‘Paying Students to Protest with Money, wicked U.S and U.K disrupted Hong Kong’. The article said that ‘NED kept close contact with the likes of Hong Kong Journalists Association, Civic Party, Labour Party and Democratic Party through branches like NDI’.

HKJA sternly clarifies that the above contents were baseless and false, and the HKJA did not keep ‘close’ contact with National Endowment for Democracy (NED) and National Democratic Institute (NDI).

HKJA also expresses deep regrets as Ta Kung Pao released the unverified false information without enquiring HKJA beforehand.
