HKJA Protests against Obstruction of Reporting by Staff Member of Kadoorie Farm

The Oriental Daily reported today  (27 Sept) one of their reporters had been obstructed from reporting by a person who is believed to be a senior staff member of the Kadoorie Farm & Botanic Garden (KFBG) near the farm. It is alleged that the staff member had grabbed the reporter’s phone and deleted some photos taken.  HKJA protested against and condemned any rude obstruction of reporters’ freedom of reporting.  Under no circumstances should anyone use violence or rude behaviours to obstruct reporting.

HKJA urges KFBG to explain to the public about this incident, and to apologize to the reporter concerned. HKJA also demands the police to thoroughly investigate this incident so as to protect the safety of reporters and their right to reporting.
