The HKJA is deeply concerned about the disappearance of SCMP reporter during trip to Beijing

Kyodo News reported yesterday that Minnie Chan, a senior reporter for the South China Morning Post, has been missing after she went to Beijing to cover the Xiangshan Forum at the end of October. The report cited friends who said Minnie had been unreachable for a month, while the SCMP stated that Minnie was “on personal leave,” without providing further details. The Hong Kong Journalists Association is deeply concerned for Minnie’s safety and is requesting more information from the SCMP.

Should Minnie’s relatives or friends have any information about her whereabouts or require assistance, please contact the HKJA office by phone at 2591 0692.
